Roger Gertze, General Manager of MultiChoice Namibia commented: “The introduction of GOtv is a strategic business decision on behalf of MultiChoice to make Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) accessible to Namibians by offering affordable television for all levels of the community. DTT is a multifaceted process with major benefits and impacts on production, reception and transmission and therefore offers television viewers more channels, improved picture quality, better reception and sound, electronic television guides, enhanced parental control features and allows for an interactive service and mobile television.Digital television also reduces costs for both broadcasters and television viewers”.

The launch of GOtv has positively contributed towards employment creation, by empowering retailers, agents and small and medium businesses through the sales and take-ups of payments for GOtv subscribers.
