Thursday, 2 November 2017… At a ceremony held at the SOS Children’s Village Namibia today,
MultiChoice
Namibia in collaboration with the SOS89 Campaign, initiated by Miss
Zambia/Namibia, made a donation of N$ 5,000, 5 x GOtv decoders as well as a Fun
Day to just under 100 orphan and vulnerable children of the SOS Children’s
Village Windhoek.
MultiChoice Namibia General Manager, Roger Gertze commented: “We are rooted in this
country where our customers live and proud of the contribution we make to our
communities. GOtv is committed to
delivering great family entertainment and as we are pleased to make it
accessible to all the children at SOS. We
trust they will delight in watching their favourite characters on the likes of
Disney Junior, Jim Jam and Nickleodeon. They can also enjoy a wide variety of
genres including sport, documentaries, religion and news on the various
channels on GOtv.”
SOS Children’s Village Windhoek Manager, Rodney Cloete, thanked
MultiChoice for the donation and encouraged other companies to follow suit, “The
SOS Children’s Village is committed to
providing loving homes for vulnerable Namibian Child. We want all Namibian
children to achieve their full potential and our task is to make this possible,
however we believe we can only do this if the Namibian private sector also take
ownership by assisting us where they can, as MultiChoice Namibia has done today.”
After the official ceremony the children were able to enjoy themselves at
the fun day with exciting activities such as jumping castles, face painting. And
a mini talent competition in a mini talent competition.
