It’s a new year and MultiChoice Namibia has just the thing to make the start of 2016 an epic one! Whether the motivation is a healthy start, inspiration from the glitz and glamour of the Red Carpet to escaping the January blues with comedy and drama, subscribers are in for the best in video entertainment in 2016!

Get a healthy start to 2016
Getting healthy after the Festive Season is always at the top of any New Year resolution list. Start the year off on the right side of health by tuning into DStv’s new Pop up Channel the GoodLife Network. Geared to help subscribers fulfil their New Year resolution of living a healthier life, the GoodLife Network will bring viewers programming related to nutrition, health and fitness, human rights, youth sexuality, diseases like HIV and TB, as well as gender and consumer rights. The GoodLife Network will be available on DStv Premium, DStv Extra, DStv Compact, DStv Family and DStv Access on channel 199.

Award Season is upon us!
It’s camera, lights and action as Awards Season kicks off this month. DStv Premium bouquet subscribers will be treated to an up-close-and-personal view of the world’s biggest entertainment stars celebrating each other at a multitude of glitzy award ceremonies.
The busiest and most glamorous period on Tinseltown’s social calendar, Award season, premiered with the Golden Globe Awards last night to be followed by the Screen Actors’ Guild Awards on Monday, 26 January and the Grammy Awards on Sunday, 08 February.The grand finale, the Oscars, will broadcast live on Sunday 23 February.

Kids’ stuff

It is Back to School season and what better way for puplis to keep ahead of their studies then by tuning into Channel ED on DStv channel 318 and on GOtv channel 65. Channel ED gives all subscribers access to an exciting knowledge portal of both global high-end documentaries and new locally-produced content. Offerings range from physics to finance, from culture to chemistry and from the natural to the supernatural. It brings together the learned and the learning so our customers access the world’s leading minds in an interactive, vibrant arena of innovations and discovery.

Once the homework and all the other school activities are done, there is not better DStv’s Kiddies Pop Up channel Hoolee, which is on until January 31st, on Channel 197. Tune in for five new exclusive shows – Zig Shark, Sonic Boom and DreamWorks, Dragons Race to the Edge, All Hail King Julien and The Adventures of Puss in Boots. Also showing will be 25 amazing animation movies such as Lego: The Adventures of Clutch Power, Babe: Pig in the City, Balto II plus the best shows on Cartoon Network and Boomerang.

Series galore!
Don’t worry about spending this January and stay in-doors with the hottest series on DStv and GOtv. Bound to be a distraction from work pressures is the second season of the award-winning epic drama and murder mystery, How to Get Away with Murder (HTGAWM) on Vuzu Amp, DStv channel 114. The series keep you on the edge of your seat with every thick plot twist, secret affair, mysterious suicide, fascinating court case and relentless lie.

Others series offering comedy and drama and everything in between include Modern Family S7 and Chicago Med on M-Net DStv (101). Subscribers can also look forward to Billions and Shameless S6 on M-Net Edge DStv channel 102. GOtv subscribers won’t miss out as the cast of Love and Hip Hop Atlanta return with season 3 on MTV Base GOtv 72.
